Shakedown, il primo film di Pornhub adatto a tutti | Collater.al

Pornhub amazes again and this time it does so in an atypical way. In fact, from today, until the end of March, it will be possible to see on Pornhub the first non-adult film released by the platform. It is Shakedown, a docufilm by conceptual artist Leilah Weinraub through which the lesbian and queer scene of the Los Angeles strip clubs is told. Shakedown is the result of over 15 years of work and filming more or less sensual, comic and absurd situations.

There’s a cool opportunity right now to present films in the art space, there’s more openness to diversity and content, and a different sort of storytelling,” said the director, hoping to reach not only a male audience, but to involve a slice of female users.

The decision, completely against the nature of Pornhub, stems from a genuine desire to support all those artists who have no place on other platforms or channels. Alex Klein, brand director of Pornhub, commented as follows:

This film is part of a larger general commitment Pornhub has to supporting the arts. We want to be seen as a platform that artists and creators can use. We’ve seen artists in general upload content to the site, that might not have a home at places like YouTube or Vimeo, who don’t permit nudity.

What if Pornhub becomes a direct competitor of Netflix or Amazon Prime?

We leave you with this question and don’t miss the Shakedown trailer below.
