For the first time in its history Timberland, the brand leader in the field of outdoor lifestyle, enters the world of the Milan design week with a work by Matteo Cibic placed in the context of the Brera Design District, in Piazza XXV Aprile.
The work, a public installation, usable and fun, reinterprets the iconic Boat Shoe, revisited with the new SensorFlex technology, and it’s an opportunity to entertain the tireless marathoners that go around Milan looking for the perfect design.
Cibic, who studied this installation specifically for the launch of the SensorFlex Boat Shoe collection at the Fuorisalone, wanted to create something that’s insertion perfectly in the urban context but at the same time, that changed it completely.
His bench, in fact, has nothing of those that we used to meet in our streets, but its function, although in a completely unconventional way, is the same.
The design of the work perfectly evokes the feeling of flexibility and freedom of movement that the new Boat Shoe will give to the daily walks, those which, thanks to more and more organized cities, have increased and they need their absolute comfort to be carried out.
