After many decades from their passing, the legendary duo of comedians Laurel and Hardy return to shine with a biographical film.
Such a movie, unlike the other biopics, focuses on their friendship rather than the actors’ lives.
It’s an account on the last years of their stage career: the 1953 English theater tour.

Since the first trailer, the two actors, in their seniority and tired of the cinematic life comforts, are seen coming to terms with the return to the theatrical stage. The film will be directed by John S. Baird with the screenplay in the hands of Jeff Pope who both grew up at the times the Hollywood comic duo were still shooting silent movies. For the protagonists’ roles, the production has named John Reilly as Hardy and Steve Coogan as Laurel. The film also includes Danny Huston, Shirley Henderson, and Nina Arianda. It will be released in US cinemas on the 11th of January 2019, but now is the moment to see the first trailer.
