After a surprise drop during the All-Star Weekend, Union Los Angeles has officially announced the release date for the new Air Jordan 1. The launch is set for February 27, 2025, and will be available exclusively through Union LA’s official channels starting at 8:00 AM PT.

The anticipation for this release is at an all-time high, and for good reason. This marks the third evolution of their iconic 2018 collaboration—a project that changed the sneaker game. Back then, Union stitched together two OG Air Jordan 1 colorways in a mash-up featuring a raw, vintage aesthetic. This time, the concept follows a similar direction: the lower portion of the shoe is inspired by the legendary “Chicago” colorway, while the ankle area borrows from the “Shadow,” all connected by a striking University Blue stitch. This detail turns the sneaker into a perfect balance of heritage and innovation.

The partnership between Jordan Brand and Union is deeply rooted in streetwear culture, with Union’s first Air Jordan 1 drop setting a new standard for collaborations. At the helm of the brand is Chris Gibbs, a key figure in the scene who has turned Union into a global reference point. Originally founded in New York, the store later found its home in Los Angeles, where it has been a cultural institution on La Brea Avenue since 2010. This background explains why every Union x Jordan Brand release is destined to become legendary.
