Vibram presents Vibram Component, a new and innovative concept that brings together design, experimentation and the solid heritage of the Italian company leader in the development and production of high performance rubber soles.

The project is inspired by the concepts of low-tech and Do It Yourself: starting from the first and iconic Carrarmato sole proposed in three colors and two eco-compounds – Vibram Ecostep EVO (30% recycled rubber) and N-OIL – they experiment a customization entirely handmade.

Vibram Component is available in four kits with two uppers and three variants of laces each. These have to be assembled through a video tutorial and instructions on the box, so as to be guided in the assembly – completely no-glue – from start to finish.

The launch campaign was created in collaboration with a series of international talents: the London-based designer James Shaw, who reuses and recycles materials to create unique design pieces, the Milan-based illustrator and collagist Gio Pastori, the American shoe maker and artist Ruth Neubauer who creates limited series of shoes from discarded materials and the Milan and London-based collective of designers and outdoor addicts Rayon Vert, founded by Yuri Kaban and Pietro Fareri, who develop an interesting clothing line.
These talents represent the hands and voices through which the Vibram Component concept spreads: an alternative approach to convey the values that have characterized Vibram for over eighty years.
