We Were Waiting for Nothing Else but Palace Vivienne Westwood

We’ve seen it everywhere, and the collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and Palace is one of the most unexpected (and now highly anticipated) of this year. It releases tomorrow, September 6th, and we already want everything: from the zip sweater to the co-branded wallet. There are many accessories, all waiting to be discovered here along with the rest of the collection. British Vogue reports—gathering several statements from both sides—that this collaboration between the two brands had been in the works for some time.

The union of forces between Vivienne Westwood and Palace—quintessentially London style—though unexpected until just a week ago, blends the spirits of two independent identities, both strong in their unique ways of communication. The campaign was shot by Shoichi Aoki, whose perspective made this capsule collection even more irresistible.

Palace Vivienne Westwood also brings back iconic designs like the Salon motif from 1992. Just one of the many signs of its rebellious spirit, the collaboration with FRUiTS (a Japanese magazine) and the faithful documentation of Edo-period subcultures—especially from the Harajuku district—gives a nod to influences beyond the typically British taste of the two brands.
