5 MONCLER CRAIG GREEN, function and nature

The journey of Moncler Genius continues together with London-based designer Craig Green.
The starting point of the new collection 5 MONCLER CRAIG GREEN draws inspiration from the elements of nature: a reworking projected into the future of garments designed for the outdoors and the mountains.

Designed for the summer season, this collection comes from reflecting on the evolution of our relationship with the outdoors this past year. Right now, even simply being outdoors seems almost like a revolutionary act: Green’s work with Moncler in this case wants to celebrate precisely the renewed freedom to connect with the natural elements the impulse that comes with it.

The collection is characterized by the new monogram 5 MONCLER CRAIG GREEN with thick, spiral lines that create a deliberately ambiguous zoomorphic effect. Harmonious and fluid, this new logo symbolizes the symmetrical structure of nature and harmony with the environment that surrounds us.

Green proposes a pragmatic reading of the construction of garments through a very creative vision and a careful reflection on their function. Wearability and practicality remain the key points while the utility style and the world of uniforms – now more than ever a central theme of fashion – are the inspirations for the shapes that distinguish the garments of the collection.

Uniform jackets are cut in sturdy cotton and paired with chinos. The choice of fabrics is iconic for Moncler and includes matt, shiny, ripstop nylons, in a palette of muddy tones with highlights of red, yellow, orange, tangerine, electric blue. Different quilting patterns merge on cropped blousons, long parkas and shirt jackets. Sneakers, monogrammed bags and wallets complete the collection.

The 5 MONCLER CRAIG GREEN collection is already available on the Italian fashion house’s online store.
