The keyword for winter 2026 is comfort, or at least it is for Columbia. Fully in line with the new Extreme Coziness trend, the American company presents Amaze, the new women’s Fall Winter 2026 collection built around the “Wildly Soft” concept. Alongside the puffer jackets that made it known around the world, Amazesweats debuts, a combo made up of a crewneck sweatshirt and wide leg trousers in heavy fleece.
This move can’t really be called a sudden turn, since it comes right after Street Tech, the line that brings the brand’s technologies to the city. Amaze helps build a brand that is present 360° in people’s lives, from weekends in the mountains to days at the office, never forgetting the comfort component.
Amazesweats is the part of the collection that thinks about days spent at home or sitting at a desk. It consists of a crewneck sweatshirt and wide leg trousers, designed to be worn as a set and built on generous volumes and a casual attitude. Its strength is the softness of the fleece, paired with elegant, modern lines, and it managed to win over even yours truly, who has always been skeptical about wearing sweatpants except for the trip from home to the gym.

Then, of course, the puffer jackets can’t be missing, as they are Amaze’s starting point. The Amaze Puff, launched in Autumn 2025, has a 650 cuin goose down fill certified RDS and a shell that is soft to the touch. It comes in three lengths: short at the waist, mid at thigh level, and long, with classic, elegant lines and oversize volumes that nod to the cloud coat trend.
The detail that won me over more than the others is the internal shoulder straps, super comfortable suspenders that let you carry the jacket like a backpack when you walk into a heated place. A smart solution to an everyday problem. Rounding out the picture are pockets lined with fleece, an adjustable and removable hood, and soft cuffs with a thumb hole.
The palette stays on neutral tones such as black, beige and Dark Stone, easy to match with what we already have in our wardrobe.

The tracksuit has always held a slightly ambiguous place: accepted on some occasions and looked at very badly on others. Columbia’s Amaze tries to challenge these preconceptions and break down boundaries. I don’t know if it will manage with everyone, but with me it has worked so far.
