As the world of football gears up for the FIFA World Cup 2026, adidas Originals and the brand BAPE reignite a special collaboration. The result is a new Football Collective that looks to the history of the game, filtered through the visual language of Harajuku.

The collection takes shape starting from two jerseys conceived as more than simple fan shirts. On one side, a long-sleeve version with a denim print and collar, playing with the idea of sports uniformity infused with workwear influences; on the other, a direct nod to 1990s Japanese national team kits, reworked with BAPE’s iconic flame graphics and a “BAPE 93” personalization on the back, paying tribute to the brand’s founding year. Orbiting these key pieces is a wardrobe that balances comfort and statement, from the Trefoil ABC CAMO Green Shark Hoodie to a pair of jacquard camo denim jorts that feel made for moving seamlessly between stadium and city.

Footwear follows the same logic of cultural layering. The adistar HRMY BAPE is perhaps the boldest expression: a technical silhouette made instantly recognizable by its shark teeth–printed midsole and reflective BAPE STA detail. Cleaner yet equally impactful, the Campus 00’s BAPE arrives in an all-black colorway with contrasting white branding, while the Samba BAPE completes the picture by bringing a timeless classic into the visual universe of the Japanese brand.

More than a simple collaboration, this project seems to reaffirm how football continues to be fertile ground for aesthetic experimentation and cultural cross-pollination. The collection will be available starting February 7 on CONFIRMED, BAPE.COM, and at a selection of global retailers, ready to resonate with both nostalgics and those who see football as a new space for personal expression.
