The last artist we interviewed for #OriginalsMilano Grid Talk, the event organized by adidas that starts today at the originals flagship store in Via Alessio di Tocqueville, is the Graphic Designer and Art Director Daniel Sansavini.
We asked him to tell us about his art, how his approach to a new project changes and how his collaboration with adidas start:
How did you start and what is the most representative element of your art?
I’ve always been fascinated by cartoon expressions, I love stickers and surgical green.
As a child, like most kids, I used to color with Carioca Jumbo, I continue to do the same because that’s what I always like.
What is your creative approach when you measure yourself with a new project?
I try to be as authentic as possible, without “raping” my style.
How did your collaboration with adidas DEERUPT start and what kind of work did you plan to do?
I met Carlo by chance a few years ago in NYC, then I met him again here in Milan and he asked me to collaborate on this project.
For DEERUPT I will install a pretty invasive lightbox.
