Andrew Tesdahl is an American photographer who focuses on often overlooked places, such as deserted gas stations, turned-off neon signs, and suburban architecture. His style is recognizable for the suspended and slightly surreal atmosphere he manages to create, making ordinary and everyday subjects visually compelling.

His photos are born from a strong bond with the American landscape and a background in visual storytelling. References to cinema and the aesthetics of certain “road trip” scenarios are clear, as is his focus on memory, isolation, and how certain spaces reflect emotions or states of mind.

Andrew Tesdahl’s work has been featured in magazines like Inweekly, Cut + Paste Magazine, and Accidentally Wes Anderson, which also included him in the official exhibition of the book held at the Ground Seesaw Gallery in Seoul. His images attract with their compositional simplicity and the care with which he manages to portray forgotten places without forcing the message.

Today, he is working on new personal projects that continue to explore the relationship between space, time, and atmosphere. With his visual approach that is both direct and evocative, Andrew Tesdahl is one of those photographers capable of giving meaning to what often goes unnoticed.
