Annihilation is a sci-fi film, directed by Alex Garland and released in North America by Paramount and by Netflix in the rest of the world. The movie is an adaptation of the novel “Southern Reach Trilogy” written by Jeff VanderMeer.

For those of you who don’t know the director we can say that he was born as a writer, still very young he already wrote books and a number of screenplays, primarily for Danny Boyle’s films. In 2015 he directed his first movie: “Ex Machina”, a sci-fi story about A.I. with Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac e Alicia Vikander.

Annihilation is the story of a scientist (played by Natalie Portman) entering a secret area where something odd is happening: a strange substance is altering the laws of physics, physically modifying animals and plants living in that area.

For now the film has been a good success both for viewers and critics but unfortunately its too early to know if the saga will continue but for now, we can enjoy the movie on the small screen by logging in to Netflix.
