Genoa has a heart that beats through its ancient streets, revealing glimpses of a layered past while embracing the breath of new energy. Après Cargo is not just an event; it is a living experiment, an idea taking shape in the alleys of the Sestiere di Prè to bring light, sound, and color back to one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
On April 12th and 13th, the district will come alive, transforming its squares into open-air stages and creative workshops. “The Games” in Piazza Vittime di tutte le Mafie and Inferiore del Roso, “The Festivities” in Piazza Statuto, and “The Stories” in Truogoli di Santa Brigida—each space will welcome moments of sharing and surprise. Meanwhile, Via di Prè will turn into a pulsating artery, where the flow of people will become the real antidote to urban decay.
Words by Vincenzo Cinaski, the provocations of Auroro Borealo, the visions of The Genoeser, the storytelling of Filippo Repetto, and music setting the rhythm of both days will all contribute to the experience, culminating in the main event on Saturday night with Diogo Strausz.

The soul of Après Cargo will also live through the photography of Samuel Costa, who has already begun capturing the pulse of local shopkeepers, determined to fight urban decline by bringing in as many people as possible. The Ligurian photographer’s images do more than document; they breathe, narrate, and convey the tension between history and modernity, between anticipation and movement. His shots will capture the magic of these days, freezing in time the essence of Prè as it embraces the beauty of possibilities. Because a city truly lives when it allows itself to be told.
