Aries and Lee Jeans have launched a collaborative capsule collection to celebrate Italy – the birthplace of Sofia Prantera, the mastermind behind the Aries brand – and the Old West of the United States.
The collection reinvents some of Lee Jeans’ historic items, 10 essential gender-neutral pieces in denim including the “Riderjacket” and the 191 jacket.
The starting point of this collection is the link between Italy and the legendary American Old West. That specific part of American culture arrived in Italy thanks to the unforgettable spaghetti-western – a film genre that began in the mid-1960s and ended in the late 1970s – by two masters of Italian cinema, Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci: the former was a cult director and a point of reference for the entire Italian film movement and beyond, while the latter, with his work (Django above all) inspired directors of the caliber of Quentin Tarantino.
In turn, the Americans discovered places in our country that they had never imagined, authentic and fascinating, since the spaghetti-westerners were mostly filmed in Italy.
The patterns that embellish the items in the collection are inspired by classic and neoclassical Italian sculptures and traditional handmade Italian fabrics.

The capsule collection Aries x Lee Jeans is already available and for each piece of the collection purchased in Lee stores, Aries and authorized dealers, as a gift there will be the small-book with photos of Timperi entitled VUOI.
