Balenciaga presented its latest campaign shot again by Stef Mitchell, starring Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, BFRD, Marie-Agnès Diène and Kat Zhang, dedicated to the BB monogram.
Starting with what is Demna’s decoding of the historic maison founded by Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 in San Sebastián, this new campaign focuses on giving a new effectiveness and renewed vitality to the BB monogram typical of the Balenciaga collections of the 1990s. Thus, Demna continues the research and revisiting of everything that characterized those years. just like the classic BB monogram.
A campaign that highlights precisely this new vision of what is part of the maison’s archive, thanks in part to the shots of Stef Mitchell.
His work presents, absolutely, a perspective totally untethered from the typical conventions of commercial photography. All of his production is characterized by an optimistic portrayal of youth and independence, reflecting the desire to have new experiences in a society where social and cultural barriers are, not without effort, being reduced.
