While a few museums around the world are starting to reopen, with all the restrictions of the case, there are many galleries that, in collaboration with several artists, continue to work on exclusively digital projects.

Among them is Maurizio Cattelan, the irreverent Italian artist known all over the world for his humorous and controversial works.
Cattelan, alongside the New Museum in New York City, has recently launched Bedtime Stories, a project to listen to that will involve many artists every day until the end of June.

According to the artist himself, Bedtime Stories is “a way of being together during these days of isolation”, to listen to different stories told by exceptional personalities.
In fact, he asked his colleagues to share the reading of a passage from their favorite book and, if some did exactly what he was advised, others decided to take completely different paths.

This is the case of Iggy Pop, for example, who preferred to read a tender and amusing tribute to his dog, his old life companion.

It would have been depressing if all the artists invited had chosen fairy tales and children’s stories. We turn to the artists for their ability to show us what we don’t expect and that’s why I’m grateful to all the participants for inventing really strange things. – Cattelan told The New York Times in an interview about his new project.

At the moment on the New Museum website you can listen to the stories of David Byrne, Andra Ursuta, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Tacita Dean and Iggy Pop, but by connecting every day you will find something new to cheer you up a few minutes of your days.
