Daniel Carlsten’s illustrations

-

At a time when everyone has something to tell, how it is told makes all the difference and Daniel Carlsten‘s illustrations seem a perfect way.

Daniel is a digital artist and art director in Stockholm. After working for Acne Studios he decided to pursue a freelance career, a change that allowed him to take care of different projects, often changing clients and moving from designing objects to editing books, catalogs, posters and much more. To date, he has collaborated with names such as Le Bon Marché, Herman Miller, Rimowa, Van Cleef & Arpels, but also with magazines such as Nowness and Dwell for which he has done editorial work.

His illustrations, characterized by flat backgrounds, solid colors and essential shapes, adapt to every occasion and request. They become the perfect medium to show shoes in a new and original way, but also to narrate statistical studies, or to tell the work of design studios and present their new products.

Those of Daniel Carlsten are immediate images, with a strong impact and understandable to everyone.

We have selected some of his works, but to find out more go to his website and his Instagram profile and if you visit Sweden you can come across his creations at the National Museum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Design Museum in Gothenburg.
