Young designer Yinka Ilori has created a new artwork to show his support for the work that the National Health Service (NHS) is doing in the UK, and for the many families who lost loved ones during the pandemic.
The colourful message shows the words “Better days are coming I promise” a phrase that the English artist used to reassure himself during this strange period.

“Whenever we are presented with news about the number of lives lost, and we see the pain and emotion of the families when we talk about their loss, it is extremely painful to look at them. You can also see how hard the NHS staff are working to save people’s lives and I can’t imagine what that feels like. They must also struggle to feel like better days are coming, but sometimes we all need a reminder that they are and that they will surely come”.
The artwork makes use of pink, yellow, green, blue and orange motifs with the highlighted words written in the center in a bold neon pink font outlined in black. Yinka Ilori specifically used calming colors that would relieve some pain but also bring some joy to those who need it most during this complicated period.
