Burberry introduces the FW20 pre-collection

Burberry‘s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci dug into the brand’s boundless archive and reinterpreted some of the iconic items of the British fashion house founded in 1856 in Basingstoke, England, for this Fall/Winter 2020 pre-collection.

The campaign images were taken by photographer Danko Steiner, who had already worked with Burberry on the 2019 FW campaign, starring Irina Shayk and Reece Nelson photographed alongside their doubles.

Burberry’s FW2020 pre-collection, reimagined and reinterpreted by Tisci, includes outerwear, trousers and shoes where the iconic check, the symbol of the London house, is mixed with a camo motif as well as zebra print jackets and trousers, patchwork polo shirts and T-shirts with graphic prints. The reinterpretative revolution of classic Burberry items continues with the classic trench coat in fluid jersey and a shirt featuring the brand logo.

“I have always been drawn to the notion of duality and viewing things from two perspectives – bringing a depth and contrast to a person or a concept. This campaign explores this idea of mirroring, a theme which I established as a house code in the new Burberry identity”.
Tisci commented on the aesthetic choice for this Fall/Winter 2020 pre-collection.
