Canada Goose through the lens of Haider Ackermann’s reinvention

The new Snow Goose collection designed by Haider Ackermann for Canada Goose takes shape in the third collaboration between the creative director and the Canadian brand. The result is a season that plays with Arctic tradition to transform it into something surprisingly soft, fluid, and perfect for cold climates.

Giving a face to this narrative is Willie Nelson, a country icon who embodies authenticity and respect for nature like few others. Photographed by Tim Elkaïm, Nelson appears alongside Canadian actor and artist D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai: different generations united by the same sense of responsibility toward the land. Alongside them, Tasha Tilberg, Stevie Sims, Xiao Wen Ju, and Connor Newall contribute to building a suspended imaginary world made of resilience and calm, as if each shot were a warm breath in the frost.

Ackermann rewrites the DNA of Canada Goose through a simple yet radical gesture: he flips materials, softens shapes, and lets the light in. Linings become surfaces, topstitching emerges as traces of movement, while technical fabrics turn into lightweight architectures. The palette shifts toward unexpected colors. There’s Fluorescent Mint Green, Ice Lavender, and Marine Earth Blue, interrupted by deep tones of brown and black, where reflective details capture light like ice breaking at dawn.

The key pieces of the season follow this vision: the Thalix Parka sculpts the body without weighing it down; the Shift Anorak works with color blocking to become almost a luminous object; the Merge Jacket and Pant combo reveals a fully reflective total look designed for those who face winter without fear; while the Weld Jacket recovers the spirit of vintage bombers, reinterpreted in a functional key. To close the circle, the Rigel Hoodie brings the collection’s manifesto message directly onto the skin: “The Earth Needs All the Friends It Can Get.”

The storytelling of the collection doesn’t end with the campaign: it will in fact continue across the expanses of Churchill, Manitoba, where Ackermann will lead a four-day expedition among polar bears and landscapes that define the very imagery of Canada Goose. A symbolic place where the brand renews its commitment each year to protecting the Arctic habitat through its collaboration with Polar Bears International.
