On the fringes of globalized society – that of the workaholism syndrome – and on the margins of the day has always lived a society that has never set itself boundaries or limits of any kind. It is here, among the people of the night, that from 2018 to 2021 photographer Carolina Lopez wandered armed with her camera.
Carolina Lopez is a young photographer of Latin American descent working between the United States and Europe, where her latest photo project “Les Nuits Fauves” came to life. The women who populate the nightlife of cities such as Berlin, Prague, London, Las Vegas, Paris and Milan are the protagonists of her shots.

With a super-saturated aesthetic and an almost documentary cut, Carolina’s work is an analysis of a consumerist society, superficial and evidently obsessed with fashion and aesthetics. The blinding flash of the camera sheds light on some elements, leaving others totally in the dark and returning that fleeting and mysterious aspect of the night.
Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign “Les Nuits Fauves” has become a book and has been published by the Italian publishing house Selfself Books. Below you can find some shots of the project, but discover it for inside on Carolina Lopez’s website and on her Instagram profile.
