Clarks Originals and the Canadian store Better Gift Shop have created a collection of three deconstructed, reconstructed and hand-decorated pairs of Wallabees.
The two companies involved in the project asked master embroiderers Chris and Clayton Griggs – known as the Griggs brothers – and creative Joshua Joseph, son of designer Opio Chung whose studio organized the editorial shot by photographer Peter Sthurland, to reinterpret the iconic Clarks Wallabee silhouette with their talent.
What came out of this joint venture draws inspiration from the patches of the 70s and each pair is characterized by the original artwork by designer Jason Rodman placed on the upper.
Each Wallabee has been deconstructed, rebuilt and decorated by hand with great skill.
The Clarks Wallabees in collaboration with Better Gift Shop will be available in three different colors (maple, black, and persimmon) from July 11 on the webstore of the Canadian shop.
