Coperni’s Latest Line Regenerates the Skin Microbiome.

Coperni has decided — once again — to push beyond the boundaries between technology and the human body with C+, a collection that seems to come from a future where clothing doesn’t just dress but heals. The idea is as simple as it is radical: garments that nourish the skin. Inside every thread, it seems, lives an ecosystem of probiotics and prebiotics capable of regenerating the skin microbiome, protecting and rebalancing the skin over time. A concept that reminds us how the Parisian brand continues to push the limits of technology in the service of fashion — this time, with the help of Paloma Elsesser, the face of the campaign.

The C+ line includes a bodysuit, a top, and leggings, designed for everyday wear but with a purpose that goes beyond aesthetics. Coperni developed the fabric in collaboration with HeiQ, a Swiss company specializing in textile biotechnology, creating a bio-based material treated with HeiQ Skin Care technology. Here, the probiotics are live microorganisms integrated into the fabric, while the prebiotics are the nutrients that keep them active — creating a small regenerative lab directly in contact with the skin.

The principle is that of a silent dialogue between body and fabric: heat, movement, and friction activate the gradual release of microorganisms, which transfer from the garment to the skin. In this way, the fabric doesn’t just “breathe” with the wearer — it becomes a kind of active membrane that promotes hydration and skin protection. When the microbiome is balanced, the skin remains elastic, hydrated, and naturally shielded from external stress.

Every detail of C+ is designed to make this exchange continuous: the fabric is lightweight, form-fitting, and flexible to ensure constant contact between skin and living matter. The effects of the treatment remain active for about 40 washes — an impressive lifespan for a garment that merges science, fashion, and wellness.

With C+, Coperni doesn’t seem intent on introducing just a new clothing line, but a new relationship between the body and what dresses it. It’s as if skincare were shifting from the realm of beauty routines to that of ready-to-wear, merging the two into a single daily gesture: dressing to heal. A new concept we’re ready to explore — and perhaps one other brands will soon adopt — or just another clever way to make headlines?
