Diesel presents HAɄTE COUTURE, a campaign against the haters

Giulia Pacciardi · 1 year ago · Art, Style

The more hate you wear the less you care.
Diesel presents HAɄTE COUTURE and does so by bringing together some of the most controversial and “hated” artists of recent times.

Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Bella Thorne, Bria Vinaite, Tommy Dorfman, Miles Heizer, Yovanna Ventura, Barbie Ferreira, Yoo Ah-In and Jonathan Bellini are the protagonists of a campaign whose aim is to take power away from the haters.
No one like them, in fact, has received insults for having published images on social media or have expressed their opinion that condemned them to the sword.
Each of the protagonists has chosen the worst of those rabid comments and Diesel, the first to have received hatred as a brand “dead” or “not cool anymore“, has created for them some items that are now part of the collection.
Nicki Minaj wears her nickname “The Bad Guy“, Gucci Mane “Fuck You, Imposter“, Bella Thorne “Slut” and Tommy Dorfman “Faggot“.

The whole project, born to condemn but also to teach us to take less seriously the free hatred that we have all received at least once, is told on social media, space where haters vent all their insane anger.
The actors of this campaign, in a series of video contents, get rid in an ironic but significant way of all the hatred received, showing how “the more hate you wear the less you care.”

But this isn’t over, because we’ve all received some negative comments and, maybe, to get rid of them and go further, there’s nothing better than buying an item whose proceeds will be donated to a charity program against bullying and cyberbullying.

Diesel, in fact, has decided to allow anyone to customize the items of the collection with the worst insult received, managing to pull out something good even from something that is not good.

#wegotlove, Kanye West presents the YEEZY Boost V2 “Cream”

#wegotlove, Kanye West presents the YEEZY Boost V2 “Cream”

Giulia Guido · 1 year ago · Art, Style

It seems that no one knows how to make better use of social media like Kanye West. In fact, every time Kim’s husband comes back online he breaks the internet.

After launching the #SUPERMOON campaign on Twitter a few months ago, now it’s Instagram’s turn.

Mr. West’s latest posts on his profile present the new YEEZY #wegotlove campaign to launch the YEEZY Boost V2 “Cream”, which will be released on September 21. In the shots taken by photographer Rita Minissi, we see models dressed in leotards, suits, and shorts in neutral tones, lying on the ground or in acrobatic poses wearing the new model of sneakers.

This time, in addition to publishing the photos on his profile, it has been created a specially dedicated to this campaign. To get the new sneakers, all you have to do is wait a few days.

Avro Paart’s music takes shape and colour at V&A Museum

Avro Paart’s music takes shape and colour at V&A Museum

Giulia Guido · 1 year ago · Art

From 15 to 23 September, at the Norfolk House Music Room of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the installation created by Clare Farrow and Eva Wood is on display, with the aim of bringing Avro Paart‘s work to life.

The idea of the two curators is based on a quote from the Estonian composer.

“I could compare my music to white light, which contains all colors. Only a prism can divide the colors and make them appear; this prism could be the spirit of the listener.”

The installation tries to give a body to Avro’s words through a transparent screen, representing the prism, made of acrylic perspex. Next, to this screen, a luxurious leather bench welcomes visitors who can sit and listen to the composer’s words through headphones.

Meanwhile, the music of Avro Paart resonates throughout the room, including Spiegel Im Spiegel, Für Alina, Silentium and Da Pacem Domine.

The installation, exhibited in conjunction with the London Design Festival, was commissioned to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Estonian state.

Your skin like a diary: Linda Werner’s tattoos

Your skin like a diary: Linda Werner’s tattoos

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Art

Berlin-based artist Linda Werner writes, draws, thinks and imagines, but above all she wants to remember every single moment. These tattoos are born from stories of a diary, authentic, naked and raw. Her drawings seem almost childish scribbles and the handwriting could very well be confused with that of a common adolescent, but this is the main attraction of her creations: a disarming simplicity. The skin becomes a sheet ready to tell adventures, memories, dreams or emotions.

There are also photographs in her diary because everything is part of a journey of life, even food, a horse or a flamingo. It is not enough to make beautiful tattoos, today to differentiate oneself you have to have something more to offer, to give added value to the experience of the tattoo, as in the case of Maison Hefner, of which we have previously spoken here.

You can follow Linda on her Instagram or on her website, in the meantime, take a look at our gallery.

Joe Hill aka 3Djoeandmax and the murals that delude the eye

Joe Hill aka 3Djoeandmax and the murals that delude the eye

Giulia Guido · 1 year ago · Art

The illusions created by Joe Hill in art 3Djoeandmax are fantastic.

Joe started creating his murals with his friend Max Lowry, who tragically died in 2010. Then he continued to work alone, but always with the nickname chosen with his friend.
His works are unique. They are pavements made to perfection to illude the viewer.

Joe draws huge chasms in the floor that reveal parallel, fantastic or post-apocalyptic worlds. The most fascinating aspect is that with a game of perspectives these holes seem real. True 3D masterpieces made entirely of paint and plaster.

The skill of the artist has led him to collaborate with clients such as Google, Disney, Reebok, and Coca-Cola.
Hyperrealistic works in an almost terrifying way.
