The third chapter of the collaboration between Dr. Martens, the iconic British footwear and accessories brand, and NEIGHBORHOOD, a label born in the alleys of Ura-Harajuku in Tokyo, explores a refined balance between traditional craftsmanship and subcultural references. Two silhouettes – the Smiths 5-eye shoe and the Penton loafer – are reimagined with design details that celebrate material quality and attention to detail.

The Penton loafer in suede leather is a classic slip-on distinguished by its textured black suede leather, enhanced with a contrasting smooth leather heel counter. The upper features a woven design inspired by Creepers, framed by moc-toe stitching, while the NEIGHBORHOOD “craft with pride” logo is screen-printed in white on each heel.

The 1461 smooth black shoe offers a slimmer, tapered version of the classic 1461 shoe, with a 4-eye structure crafted in smooth black leather for a uniform shiny finish. NEIGHBORHOOD logos, screen-printed in white on the left upper and the outer right heel quarter, add an asymmetrical touch that defies convention. The shoe is completed with a monochromatic AirWair heel loop.

Both models rest on a black Dr. Martens sole, accented with white welt stitching and a dual-logo ice-blue footbed, achieving a minimalist yet impactful aesthetic.
The DR. MARTENS x NEIGHBORHOOD collection will be available starting November 22 on both brands’ e-commerce platforms, at selected Dr. Martens stores, and through premium multi-brand retailers.
