Henry James Garrett was not born as an illustrator or artist, on the contrary, art has plunged into his life almost by chance, as if it were intended. Henry has never had any artistic predispositions, he has never thought of enrolling in an art school, quite the contrary. The young man from Brighton was doing a PhD in Philosophy when he was forced to leave because of anxiety.
After several attempts, Henry found his “cure” in drawing, particularly in drawing dogs. That’s how Drawings of Dogs was born. His works are colorful, minimalist and have as their protagonists only animals. Where Henry’s artistic talents don’t reach, we get sympathy, in fact, his illustrations are always accompanied by short sentences or dialogues that give a clear sense to the image.
His drawings have succeeded in calming his anxiety, find out if they can relax you too by going to the Instagram profile of Drawings of Dogs.
