On the occasion of the release of the next issue of ELLEMEN China, Japanese cartoonist Eiichiro Oda illustrated a lookbook for Gucci playing with the characters he created in 1997 and who are the protagonists of his most important work, One Piece.

ELLEMEN China

With 470 million copies worldwide, One Piece is the best selling manga in history and tells the adventures of Monkey D. Rufy. A young pirate with special powers – his body has the same properties as rubber – who put together the “Straw Hat Crew” to explore the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure One Piece, first on the Going Merry and then on the Thousand Sunny, the two ships on which the group moves, chasing the dream of becoming the new Pirate King.

Eiichiro Oda has created a series of One Piece character designs for Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2020 “Fake/Not” collection.
Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro are the models for the collection continuing the trend that sees the world of anime/manga bursting into fashion.
