In the United Kingdom, a very special initiative, called “Gratitude”, has been launched to support health workers who have been working hard and non-stop during these months.

The initiative, promoted by the organization Wild in Art, consists of 49 sculptures that take an anonymous human form, to be used as a blank canvas. The artists have been asked to decorate the white silhouettes with a design that pays tribute to the NHS workers and tells the story of these difficult months we are going through. The project also invites brands, companies, and individuals to sponsor a sculpture to raise funds for charity and support the artist in the realization.

The project officially started on September 30 at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery with three drawings by local artists MrASingh, Jess Perrin, and Nisha Grover.

The 49 finished silhouettes will then be exhibited in the city on July 5, 2021, NHS official birthday, before taking a tour of the UK.
The sculptures will then be auctioned off with the proceeds donated to NHS Charities Together.
