Herman Miller Gaming recently announced a collaboration with Faile Art, the Brooklyn-based art studio with which it has reinterpreted its famous Embody Gaming Chair. These are twelve artistic versions of the gaming chair that made them famous. These chairs, presented as true works of art, will be displayed in an exhibition in New York and subsequently archived by Herman Miller to inspire the brand’s future designers. Between pop art and gaming culture

The collection, the result of a collaboration with the artistic duo Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller – founders of Faile – also includes graphic prints and hand-carved wooden sculptures called ‘Joysticks’, which recall details already present in their Deluxx Fluxx installations, which have appeared in clubs in Detroit and New York. Embody chairs have been enhanced with Faile’s signature pop style, which mixes collage and iconic characters such as animals, robots and pin-ups, all painted in bright colours and ombré shades.
