The emotions that a face can communicate are really many, just think that the face is the area where the most muscles in the human body are concentrated. This is also well known by the French street artist Hopare, who has focused his artistic production on the portrait.

Born in 1989, Alexandre Monteiro aka Hopare, an emerging figure in the Parisian street scene, began to approach the street world at the age of twelve. His style is well recognizable since the artist uses a complex scheme of straight and oblique lines that intertwine with each other, creating a pattern. The most interesting aspect of his works lies paradoxically in the great realism that emerges from each mural.

The emotions of the characters are believable, defined and in continuous evolution. Hopare belongs to that genre of artists whose aesthetic experiences are built around human and natural interactions. In other words, Hopare draws its main source of inspiration from the direct encounter with people and environments during his travels around the world, which then translates into works of art.
