Short video for Breakfast – From Fast&Furious to Back to the Future, here are all the Iconic Cars

Giulia Guido · 10 months ago · Art

We still love the mashups of the movie scenes. They can make us notice small details that sometimes go unnoticed and especially as some elements that come back in many movies. This time, in the video Iconic Cars, we see on the screen some of the scenes of films, famous and iconic for used cars and automobiles.

Don’t think to see only Toretto and his companions, even if they never displease, because it goes from Jurassic Park to the supercar of Batman, until you get to the best car of all, that of Back to the Future.

“I live my life a quarter mile at a time, nothing else matters. Not the mortgage, not the store, not the team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less… I’m free”

Enjoy!

Retro and colorful, here are the tattoos of Shannon Wolf

Retro and colorful, here are the tattoos of Shannon Wolf

Giulia Guido · 10 months ago · Art

As a great lover of art in all its forms, Shannon Wolf also practices that of tattoos, in which she can enclose all her passions and hobbies.

Inside the Daydream Tattoo Studio in Portland, dreams, and memories magically turn into small and enchanting tattoos. Shannon, in fact, is in love with everything that can be defined as retro, like the game hell and paradise that we all played as children with paper (even without knowing it was called that), and everything that can be called delicate, sweet, dreamlike, like a cup full of flowers.

To create these works of art the keyword is only one: color. The tattoo artist does not spare herself, in fact, when there is to add light, or life, presenting us a gallery of tattoos ranging from pastel shades to the most fluorescent, and we still can not decide which one we like the most.

Linas Kaziulionis combines classical icons with street art

Linas Kaziulionis combines classical icons with street art

Claudia Fuggetti · 10 months ago · Art

Linas Kaziulionis is a Lithuanian artist active on the scene for more than seven years and founded the creative studio K ART 7 in the historical center of Vilnius. His style is particular because he combines classic studies with the passion for the street world: the result is interesting for its conceptual depth and freshness.

The great wall works made by Linas play with the history of art icons, such as Gioconda or Lady with an Ermine, to update and bring them closer to the public, these characters are often enriched with accessories and contemporary objects such as headphones music or from colored and pop elements like polka dots. The artist’s intent is to bring a young audience closer to classical and renaissance world, so street art becomes the most appropriate form of artistic expression.

Follow Linas on Instagram and on his site that you find here.

Cristian Blanxer creates paintings that look like pictures

Cristian Blanxer creates paintings that look like pictures

Claudia Fuggetti · 10 months ago · Art

Cristian Blanxer, born in Barcelona in 1985, began working as a freelance artist and illustrator in 2008 after graduating in Fine Arts. His versatile spirit led him to explore different styles and techniques that are intended to convey emotions and feelings freely, without judging. In this series of paintings, the main subjects are women, who are portrayed with overlapping weight on their faces, very reminiscent of the double photographic exposures.

The spontaneous brushstroke and the intensity of the perception of color are reflected in all works, enhanced by his great creativity that becomes an indispensable means for telling the stories and personalities of his characters. The impression is that every painting is never definitive, but in continuous evolution, just like the emotional flow that invades every portrait.

You can see more of artist’s works on his website that you find here.

Short video for Breakfast – Absence, in a surreal world absence strengthens the heart

Short video for Breakfast – Absence, in a surreal world absence strengthens the heart

Giulia Guido · 10 months ago · Art

The video Absence, signed by the animator, Alex Goddard, is halfway between a creative exercise, an experimental video, and an illustrated poem. Everything starts with the quote “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” and then, while the narrating voice continues to praise a poem in rhyme with this phrase, the images follow the words.

But as we all know, sometimes to make a rhyme you have to sacrifice reality, and then we are accompanied in a world that is becoming more and more surreal, but where the only thing that remains seems to be a deep sense of loneliness, lack.

What Alex wants to convey to us is a deep sense of bewilderment and sadness, but without forgetting that it is in periods of absence that the heart is strengthened.
