Jen Mann translates the language of social media in her beautiful paintings strongly influenced by pop art aesthetics. Find out now what it is about!

The works of the artist Jen Mann, are not only beautiful to look at, but represent the key points of his research that concern us very closely: from our generation’s obsession with social media, to the influence of pop-culture in our lives.

Throughout her artistic career, Jen has developed multiple bodies of work by stratifying these themes, creating medium to large oil paintings on canvas. She also uses digital references to create hyper-realistic worlds, using the photos she takes herself.

Colour saturation is one of the distinctive traits of her style and should be interpreted as an element that separates images from reality and adds a strong “pop art”/”Instagram filter” component.

In addition to colors, Jen Mann’s paintings also use some social languages, such as the one that involves inserting a text under certain images, very popular on Instagram.

Beyond the pleasant aesthetic practice, the artist’s work wants to question the idea of reality and make us reflect on how we perceive our identity in the post-internet culture.
