From 2017 onwards, that is, since the Canadian creative studio began its collaborations with the sneaker world, JJJJound has always expressed a very precise aesthetic resulting from the work started back in 2006, when the project was born as a mood board, to then become a global reference point in the streetwear world.
Last night, JJJJound posted on his Instagram profile a photo of his new collaboration with New Balance and involving one of the Boston-based company’s recent silhouettes, the 990v4.
This is the third time the Montreal-based company and NB have collaborated, following the 990v3 released in 2018 and last year’s 992s.
The New Balance 990v4 made by JJJJound, from what we can understand from the only photo released, is that they will feature the color Blue Navy, the alternation between mesh and suede while in black we find the laces, the inner lining, the “N” logo on the side, the midsole and the logo with the American flag on the tongue. The JJJound logo is visible on the insoles inside the shoe.
No other info about it has been released, but it’s plausible that JJJJound’s New Balance 990v4s will be released sometime between late 2021 and early 2022.
