Kan-D, the new technology of C.P. Company

Ever since Massimo Osti founded C.P. Company 45 years ago, innovation in fabric research and the study of new dyeing methods have always been the soul of the brand, in addition to functionality and the very high quality of materials.
After all this time the core of the company has not changed, on the contrary, C.P. Company continues to explore new solutions and to look to the future.

An example of this consistent approach is the new Kan-D fabric, an acronym for “Klear Achronic Nylon Dyed,” transparent monofilament nylon reminiscent of the cellophane with which candy was packaged in the 1950s and 1960s.

The peculiarity of this fabric is that during its construction rollers are used to flatten the fiber, in a process that produces a surface that acquires a mirror effect and makes the yarn even more transparent.

One of the most challenging fabrics ever used by C.P. Company due to shrinkage during the garment-dyeing process, which involves applying the color (dye) once the garment is complete (cut and sewn), resulting in deeper color and tone.

The extreme transparency of Kan-D also requires enormous care in the composition of the finished garment, as every single seam is visible.

C.P. Company’s Kan-D collection, which includes a Goggle Hood Parka, Goggle Hood Medium Jacket and Google Hood Utility Jacket, all feature a removable poly-fleece layer and a military-inspired palette.

Kan-D items are available on C.P. Company’s online shop.
