KIDSOFBROKENFUTURE, the new Future Renaissance collection

The fashion brand KIDSOFBROKENFUTURE born in Milan from Marta Sanchez and Elbio Bonsaglio – as we talked about here – is one of the most innovative in the industry in recent years.
It is mainly aimed at kids, or millennials and the Z generation, who want to build a different future than the one for which they are intended.
During the month of September, the brand launched its new Future Renaissance collection, which can be purchased on the official website and in selected stores.

The autumn-winter collection ’19/’20 approaches art with strong references to the Renaissance period that goes from 1300 to 1600.
This collection was created in collaboration with Nirvana Kamal, who provided the graphics for the development of the garments. The textures of the garments are made through a collage of Renaissance works opposed to symbols of modern/contemporary culture, obtaining a reinterpretation of the connection between the past and the present. There are many references to very famous works of art such as Magritte’s Lovers, Michelangelo’s David and more modern elements such as the film Pulp Fiction.

A point in favor of the brand is the importance given to the ecological aspect so much so as to use both organic cotton and nylon obtained from the recycling of plastic recovered in the Oceans. Each product approaches different styles and worlds and conveys different messages but they have the same ideal: the emancipation of young people and at the same time a strong provocation towards society.
The messages that want to be conveyed revolve around the responsibilities that we have in life, the idea that everything is achieved with our commitment, the identity, and uniqueness of each person and living with courage our diversity making it a point of strength.
The collection includes a wide range of products, each of which focuses on a specific theme.
The sweatshirts and jackets embody the pure and ethereal Renaissance beauty that meets with the eroticism and sensuality present in recent years. These two points of view merge to become a new icon of modern times while in t-shirts and trousers the concept is that of religion and sensuality. The brand’s collections are divided into three phases called “stages”. Future Renaissance belongs to the first and deals with the theme of denunciation and social criticism to all attitudes of inconsistency and indifference that have had a devastating effect on our past and that affect our daily future.
In the other two phases, the kids are given an important role, that is, the task of distorting this scenario through a revolution that can allow us not to be constantly conditioned by our past to better live our present and create a community that can then reach, at the end of this path, an awareness and a maturity.

Women regain control of their bodies in Arianna Genghini’s shots

Women regain control of their bodies in Arianna Genghini’s shots

Giulia Guido · 12 hours ago · Photography

Sensual and ethereal, Arianna Genghini‘s photographs are not only beautiful, but are the manifesto of a way of perceiving the woman’s body far from clichés and preconceptions.

Arianna is a young photographer who grew up in the countryside, where she cultivated a deep bond with nature that she did not leave even when she moved to Milan. Once she graduated in Fashion Design she decided to attend a Master in Fashion Photography, where she refined her style and aesthetics.

Her background and her studies are the reasons why Arianna Genghini’s photographs stand out both for the attention to detail, from light to styling, but also for the message they carry.

In her photographic projects, especially Fiori Nudi and the latest Green Generation, Arianna explores the beauty of the female body in its naturalness. We see girls of all ages, so with different stories and pasts, take off all the weight of clothes and with them the restrictions of society and rediscover a bond with nature and themselves.

In this case nudity does not express the passionate and sensual side of the woman, but her freedom, it is the demonstration of how one can really be master of one’s own body, clashing with a society that has increasingly objectified it, making it lose value.

“Nudity is not an end but the means to claim ownership over a woman’s body that belongs only to those directly concerned”.

We have selected some of her shots, but to find out more visit Arianna Genghini’s website and follow her on Instagram so as not to miss her next works.

Cinematography – Dune

Cinematography – Dune

Giordana Bonanno · 1 week ago · Photography

Today we will talk about a masterpiece of action and science fiction not yet presented in the cinema, but one of the few that has not postponed the release date due to the pandemic; Warner Bros has in fact delayed the screening of a couple of its films such as Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), In the Heights (2020), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and The Batman (2021). A few days ago, on September 9, finally appeared the first official trailer that confirms the release of Dune for December 18.

The Warner Bros, Pictures and Legendary Pictures film is directed by Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve and is nothing more than an adaptation for the big screen of Frank Herbert‘s famous best seller of the same name.

Dune is an epic adventure full of emotions that tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant young man born with a great destiny, who will have to travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure a future for his family and his people.

Epic is also the cast, we talk about Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, the Oscar-winning Javier Bardem and many others..

Villeneuve collaborates for the first time with the director of photography Greig Fraser (“Lion”, “Zero Dark Thirty”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) between the landscapes of Hungary and Jordan, places also familiar to the French photographer Clément Chapillon.

“Promise me a Land” is the name of his photographic series that offers a new and original vision of Israel and Palestine in which, at the center of artistic research, there is not the political situation and tensions, but the close bond between people and the land in which they live, regardless of their creed and nationality.

This time the comparison between the two artistic expressions is focused on the landscapes, colors and feelings that envelop the screen. And waiting for the arrival at the cinema of Dune, we give you a preview in the gallery below!

Did you know: Denis Villeneuve confirmed that his adaptation of Dune (2020) will be split into two films in order to ensure that the original story would be “preserved and not cut into a million pieces.”

Genre: Adventure, epic
Director: Denis Villeneuve
Director of photography: Greig Fraser
Writers: Frank Herbert, Jon Spaihts
Stars: Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Jason Momoa
