A few days ago Louis Vuitton published a new book in which it pays tribute to its extraordinary artisans and ateliers, which have been instrumental in decreeing the success of one of the most iconic fashion houses in the history of fashion.

Louis Vuitton Manufactures, the title of the book published by Assouline, is a collection of 350 exclusive photos of places, buildings, decisive moments, unforgettable items and their realization that shows us how Louis Vuitton became the luxury brand we know today.

“Featuring photographs commissioned exclusively for this book, the volume showcases the extraordinary locations and buildings of Louis Vuitton’s ateliers, and the equally extraordinary artisans who express their talent through Louis Vuitton’s creations (trunks, bags, fragrances, watches, shoes, high jewellery and ready-to-wear), while carrying the founder’s techniques and savoir-faire into the twenty-first century. It is to these ateliers and the inspiring people who work there that this book is dedicated”, stated the fashion house in a press note.
Overseeing the editing of the book, as well as writing the introduction, was author, journalist and historian Nicholas Foulkes.
