NIGO and Virgil Abloh, two of the Midas kings of contemporary pop culture, continue their fashion collaboration that began a year ago. 
The duo presented their latest collection LV² for Louis Vuitton, the Pre-Spring 2022, which takes inspiration from and pays homage to the cultural roots of NIGO and Virgil but also to the personal archive of the Japanese dj and designer with a particular reference to the typical items of British subcultures.

The European tailoring of the ’50s and ’60s is mixed with elements of Japanese culture: workwear blazer color-blocked, denim suit characterized by Monogram camo and a rowing blazer built with the lining of the trunks that have made the history of Louis Vuitton. Of course, there are also references to the NIGO brand, Human Made with the tiger-shaped graphic and the heart-shaped one in red with the LV² logo in full.

Shirts and jackets reminiscent of Japanese kimonos, references to stamps and the aforementioned rowing blazer made with the Monogram canvas that covered Vuitton trunks, are all references and tributes to the legacy of the French maison. 

Of course, there is no shortage of accessories such as bags of clear Japanese inspiration and jewelry depicting ducks, tigers and hearts. As for footwear, the two have reached the LV Trainer with all-over graphics and a new colorway that mixes hammered leather and denim.
