In one of the most central areas of Chicago, where Clark Street meets Ontario Street, has just opened a new McDonald’s, the McDonald’s Global Menu. The clean design structure has taken the place of the iconic Rock’n’Roll McDonald’s built-in 1985.

The new building designed by Ross Barney Architects has been projected to obtain LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and to support the ecological and sustainable breakthrough of the most widespread fast food in the world.

In this way, the aesthetic aspect dissociates from that of the other Mc, coming to resemble an Apple Store. Inside, neutral colors and light wood open up the space. The main room has a garden with ferns and white birches, while shared tables have sockets for charging smartphones and computers. Finally, looking up you can see a row of apple trees on the roof, in addition to the inevitable solar panels.
