MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon have announced the latest chapter of their ongoing collaboration. As usual, the goal is to blend two identities focused on advanced technical design. This new phase begins with the first launch of a series of innovative footwear designs, starting with the X-ALP model. The two brands have envisioned this shoe for the Spring-Summer 2024 collection of MM6 Maison Margiela, maintaining its identity as a functional hiking shoe that offers protection but differs from the classic Salomon model due to the transformation by the MM6 design studio.

This transformation will be available from June 6th in two colors. By reducing the technical details, the focus shifts to the shoe’s streamlined shape. The new design features graphic silhouettes in monochromatic black and a palette of whites and creams contrasted with black details, adding a tailored touch to this key element of Salomon’s mountaineering heritage. The result is a distillation of the iconic sneaker into a new urban classic.
