Sometimes reality misses creativity. It’s a nostalgia that you can feel on the same routine, the same journeys from home to work, buying the same stuff at the supermarket and so on.
It’s in the art that we confide in order to escape from unwritten rules that we have to follow every day and Nancy Fouts, an American London-based artist, is the best guide to this exploration.
Through her sculptures, apparently common objects become details and characters from fantasy series, sometimes historical and religious provocations, in a meeting between reality and creativity that makes the viewers smile.
It’s nice to know that there’s a completely different world from the one we live and that we can always explore it thanks to Nancy Fouts.
