New Balance expands its Made in UK collection with the Allerdale, a model that pays homage to Cumbria’s craftsmanship and the historic Flimby factory. This new silhouette represents the fusion of the brand’s expertise in walking footwear with a contemporary aesthetic that embraces effortless elegance.

Designed to ensure both comfort and refinement, the Allerdale stands out for its use of premium materials such as high-quality leather and suede. Its clean and essential structure is enhanced by a minimalist design, where the embroidered logo adds a discreet yet sophisticated touch.

The cupsole outsole provides stability and durability, while the hiking-inspired tread ensures grip and a sporty character. The shoe is also supported by FuelCell technology, synonymous with cushioning and long-lasting comfort, allowing wearers to move through their day with style and practicality.

Sam Pearce, Creative Design Manager at New Balance, stated: «The Allerdale represents a new opportunity for New Balance: a step beyond retro running to tap into a growing trend toward a more tailored aesthetic, while maintaining our Made in UK manufacturing tradition and excellence in premium materials».

Inspired by New Balance’s legendary hiking models and the lesser-known walking shoe collection from the 1980s, the Allerdale reinterprets a timeless classic with a modern twist. The result is an elegant and versatile silhouette, perfect for those seeking the ideal balance between sophisticated aesthetics and functionality—walking in style towards new horizons.
