“I scribble words” writes Nicola Madonia in his Instagram bio and – in my opinion – there is no better way to describe what he does.
Nicola is twenty-six years old, born in Sicily and is a self-taught illustrator and cartoonist.
His passion for illustration and drawing in general stems from a real need to express his emotions, then over time it has also become a desire to share these emotions with the world.
Nicola Madonia’s sketches are simple and essential, with a few black lines on a white background, the young artist manages to describe scenes of banal everyday life that are sometimes completed by a few lines or jokes.
Scrolling through his gallery you will notice how many things there are in common between his illustrations and your lives, moreover, his scribbles are divided into two large strands: some are ironic and hilarious, playing on the concept of discomfort, others are more romantic, real illustrated poems.
