It takes little to bring a little joy into the life of a community. All it takes is a bit of color and for sure the one brought from Okuda San Miguel to Fort Smith in Arkansas is enough and advances. The last work of the Spanish artist has, in fact, transformed a small abandoned house into a rainbow of colors. This is why the work is called The Rainbow Embassy. 

Okuda has created the work on commission of the creative company Justkids, which has been carrying on the Unexpected project for a number of years, with the aim of redeveloping the place through urban art interventions. 

The Rainbow Embassy presents the characteristic features of Okuda’s art, from the use of multicolored geometric shapes to the representation of stylized animals. The playful side of the work is also particularly connected to the place where the abandoned house stands, next to the Darby Junior High School. The artist himself wanted to bring a hint of playful imagination into the lives of the inhabitants of Fort Smith and its students.
