Simona Randazzo is an illustrator, she’s young and she’s creating something unique: graphic traits, colors and shapes. In her works there is no room for unnecessary frills, and magazines have already noticed her. 

Simona Randazzo was born in Sicily and since she was a child she has always dreamt of drawing, and of doing it all life long. She studied graphics at the Academy of Arts and New Technologies in Rome and Illustration at the IED in Milan where she graduated in 2020. Now she works as a freelance illustrator.

Simona’s visual language is always very elegant: fresh, evocative and in some works evokes suggestions of famous post-impressionist painters. It is interesting the use she makes of solids and voids within the “pictorial” space. 

The figurative parts occupy the scene but the backdrop, to avoid horror vacui, is populated with textures, flowers, brushstrokes of color, which give the entire illustration a sense of fullness and balance. 

Some works on the female figure are extremely interesting, in which the love for the most contemporary tradition of illustration is masterfully combined, through colors and shapes, with typically 20th century pictorial genres. They are intense images, full of humanity, hopes and unspoken words.
