After so many years, we’ve learned not to be put off by Supreme‘s collaborations that fall outside of the streetwear and fashion world.
After the one made with smeg, this time the New York skate brand has collaborated with Vitra, a well-known Swiss company based in Basel, which produces furniture and design furniture. To be precise, the object of the collabo is the iconic Vitra Panton Chair, designed in 1959 by Danish designer Verner Panton, the chair in question has caused a stir in the design world thanks to its monolithic structure in rigid polyurethane.
For the drop 15 of Spring/Summer 2021, Supreme has created a commercial directed by American director Hype Williams he has worked with the likes of LLCool J, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z and many others – pre present this piece of design arch from the aesthetic of the brand founded by James Jebbia in 1994.
The video shows the professional dancer and choreographer Taylor Terry dancing to the notes of a rock song on the Supreme / Vitra Panton Chair, showing its unique and inimitable design.
