French-born illustrator Thomas Danthony has managed to find the perfect mix of art and marketability by collecting a list of clients that include Google, The New York Time, TFL, El Corte Inglés and many more.

Each of his illustrations transports us into the mysterious world of his characters and once the brands and names of the clients have been removed, they become true artwork to hang on the walls.

They are minimal works, simple but of great impact. There are no outlines, there are no thick black lines but a skillful use of color characterizes them. The colors, from the brightest to the softest, all enter into dialogue with black, creating plays of light and shadow that give shape to the final subject.

His style adapts to virtually any product or experience to advertise.

“The way I would describe my style is I try to keep things simple but with enough information to create an atmosphere or to tell a story.”
