South African artist Daniel Popper, known in the art scene for his huge figurative installations in wood and concrete, has recently completed his latest beautiful work.
It is titled “Thrive”, a permanent 14-ton fiberglass reinforced concrete (GFRC) installation realized in Down Town Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Standing 8 meters tall, the imposing statue depicts the half-bust of a young woman opening right at heart height, exposing her striking green interior.
With this new work, the artist wanted to send a message of hope.
Precisely in the conclusion of a year in which climate change and environmental problems that afflict our planet have worsened dramatically.
