Frank Herfort is a German artist who lives and works between Germany and Russia and it’s right there that, inspired by the austere and melancholic tone of Soviet architecture, settles his latest project, Time in Between.

Frank Herfort’s images tell of enchanted stories, reflecting on the relationship between the protagonists, captured in an eternal state of expectation, and the mysterious, sometimes surreal, space in which they are found.

The architecture of the ex-Soviet Union is told by the artist, passing through frozen men and women in a kind of enchanted sleep, in an eternal expectation of something or someone who may never come.
