We had already seen the new “Toe” collection of Balenciaga during the show Fall 20 Ready-to-Wear of the maison, staged in one of the theaters of La Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis, Paris.
Eight months later, the brand, led by the creative direction of Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia, officially presented the “Toe” collection in collaboration with the Italian company, founded in 1937 by Vitale Bramani and global leader in rubber soles for footwear, Vibram.

The collection consists of a sneaker model and two different high-heeled shoes, all characterized by the recycled knit with which they were made and the patent Vibram FiveFingers.

The FiveFinger are Vibram patented shoes characterized by the separation of each toe and by a flexible sole not cushioned and with only a small difference between the heel and forefoot height (drop,) which ensures a natural support of the foot on the ground offering the right protection, improving the tactile perception during walking or climbing.

The Balenciaga Toe Sock will be available in carmine red and black, the Balenciaga Toe Lace Up in black and the Balenciaga Heeled Toe in pink and black.

The entire “Toe” collection will be a limited and numbered edition and will be released on the Balenciaga webstore and in selected retailers from October 16th.
