After Drake launched the trailer for his show at the London O2 Arena, Netflix officially released the first clip of Top Boy. This TV series is produced by the singer and follows the original show of two series that ended in 2013.

To the delight of the fans, key figures of the original show will return, so in the cast we find Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson; the novelty will be the introduction of some hip-hop artists such as Dave and Little Simz. Ashley Walters said about the series:

“A raw, real representation of street culture. It explores how these characters came to make the choices they make, and gives the audience a behind-the-scenes look as to what is happening on our streets today. It needs to be talked about and the show doesn’t shy away from giving us the platform to tell our story. We can’t change things if we do not acknowledge it and understand it first“.

Netflix has confirmed that it will arrive in Autumn 2019.
